We LOVE their lunch specials. Such a great deal!
They are so nice and accommodating there. I can usually order panang curry from most places, but it's a little too spicy for me here. The 2nd time we came, i asked if i could get panang curry but not so spicy. She confirmed that I wanted it mild. Yes. Oops, still too spicy for me. My husband and I traded and I was fine w/pad thai.
Because they have their curry sauces pre-mixed (and add more spice for those who request it), she suggested that I get a ginger sauce for my main course, the next time. That worked! I can also order the massaman curry and ask for it to be made w/the vegetable combination from the ginger or penang entree for more variety.
Duck noodle soup is recommended. Their Thai iced coffee is delicious!! Agree w/an earlier review that the pad se ew is too salty - tastes like soy and nothing else. We always get the fried ice cream for special occasions. We eat in or pick-up, no problems! -

This is my first time ordering their tofu fried rice. It isn't my first time eat here but I won't be ordering tofu fried rice anymore.
It said they add Chinese broccoli, pineapple, cashews, raisins, onions, and carrots. The broccoli has about two pieces. 3 pieces of raisins, and no signs of cashews. It also tasted bland. I automatically thought it was fresh/soft tofu but it was the fried ones which I was unaware of.
Kinda disappointed. -

First this place is super duper tiny. Probably the tiniest place I've seen with table service. Everyone was very nice
Did the food wow me, no. But did it fill me up, sure. All I felt from trying the food was that it was okay. Nothing blew me away. What Sompong did do is make me miss the Thai place that was in Corona on 103rd Street. It is no longer there unfortunately. I still think about the crispy fish fillet pad thai that I had in the Corona place. They were super generous with their portions too for the price and the taste was more pungent than Sompong. I wish Sompong made me feel the same way.
Would I come back...probably not on purpose. It's not memorable enough. -
